Low Calorie & Low Carb Brownies

The low calorie and low carb brownies in this recipe do not contain walnuts.  They come out almost fudge like and taste amazing fresh out of the freezer too.

I have been using this homemade low calorie and low carb brownie recipe for several months now.  This recipe makes 32 individual brownies.  If you only eat 1 a day this one recipe will last you an entire month.  I like to make a full batch which is a 9 x 13 baking dish and store the individual brownies in the freezer for the chocolate cravings.

These brownies are rich and filled with chocolate goodness that hit the spot, but it won’t set you back if you are keeping track of your calories and carbs. Once this recipe is baked and cool it has a similar texture of a real brownie, but without the extra calories and carbs in each bite.  If you are looking for a healthy brown alternative try this recipe!

    Ingredients

    • 1 stick Butter or Margarine Room Temperature
    • 2 cups Erythritol powdered is best, but granulated will work too
    • 1 tbsp Vanilla
    • 4 Eggs Room Temperature
    • 1/2 cup Cocoa Powder
    • 1 tsp Salt
    • 4 oz Unsweetened Chocolate melted
    • 2 cups Flax Seed Meal
    • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
    • 1/3 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
    • 2/3 cup Water
    • 1 cup Artificial Sweetener

    Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9 x 13 baking dish.
    • Cream butter or margarine until fluffy.  Add the Erythritol and cream until fluffy (want a fluffy texture).  If you use the Erythritol granulated it will not turn out as fluffy, but the brownies will still taste good (I have done it both ways).
    • Add the vanilla to the butter mixture.  Beat the eggs into the mixture one at a time.  Add salt and cocoa powder; beat well.
    • Add the melted unsweetened Chocolate and beat until fluffy.
    • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
    • Pour brownie batter into 9 x 13 baking dish.  Bake for 35 minutes.  Cool and cut into 32 squares.

    Notes

These taste delicious fresh, cooled, or even frozen!

Low Carb & Low Calorie Brownie goodness

I am super excited to share this delicious and healthy Brownie Recipe with you.  It is both low carb and low calorie if you are trying to eat healthier, but occasionally want chocolate.  Sometimes even while you are trying to eat healthier you just want something sweet and chocolate.  This recipe includes walnuts, but they can be omitted.

A friend shared this recipe with me a couple months ago.  I have made these brownies several times.  They are delicious especially if you have been cutting back on sugar already!  I especially like to pull them out of the freezer for a cool tasty treat during those hot days, but really they good any time.

Once this recipe is baked and cool it has a similar texture of a real brownie, but without the extra calories and carbs in each bite.  If you are looking for a healthy brown alternative try this recipe!

  • Recipe: Peppermint Oreo Brownies

Around the Christmas Season we typically have extra candy canes hanging around the house so I came up with this fun and delicious Peppermint Oreo Brownie recipe.  You can make your favorite brownie recipe add a few extra ingredients for the Holiday Season and you have a great dessert to share with family and friends.  Whether you enjoy a homemade or boxed brownies both will taste delicious.

    Peppermint Oreo Brownies:

    • Favorite Homemade or Boxed Brownies
    • 1 1/2 cup roughly crushed Oreo Cookies
    • 2 tablespoons Torani Peppermint Syrup (you can add more or less if you prefer)
    • 1/4 cup crushed Peppermint Candy Canes

Make your favorite brownie recipe.  Stir in the Torani Peppermint Syrup and 1 cup Oreo’s.  Pour the brownies into the baking dish. Sprinkle the peppermint candy canes and remaining Oreo’s over the top.  Cook the brownies per the recipe directions.  Cool and enjoy!

You can also use up some extra candy canes when you make Candy Cane Smile Pancakes for breakfast.

  • Life Can Be Sweet – S’mores Brownies

Our family loves brownies!  The nice thing about making brownies you can add in all kinds of goodies and it still tastes awesome.  You can also add items on top of the brownies after they are baked or use them as a base to sundaes!  As you may already know not all my brownies turn out perfect like my Mint Chocolate Chip Brownies I made for our church Community Group, but for the most part they turn out delicious.

I had some extra items on hand so we added them to the brownies.  I cooked the brownies to almost done added some marshmallows, chocolate and butterscotch chips finished cookies then drizzled chocolate syrup over the top.  The results delicious brownies to share with family and friends! 🙂
