In the evening there is a tribal dance put on by people from the local village. It was fascinating to watch them. I was having a hard time getting a picture that wasn’t blurry. Between the darkness, fire, and constant movement this was the best one I could get of the men who came to demonstrate their traditional tribal dance.

Leaves, painted rocks, and incense were placed on the edge of the river next to where the people were washing their cattle. From what we can gather it is some type of ritual that asks a blessing on the cows prior to going into the water.

Massage anyone? Matt, Jen, Jake and I got a massage while at Kabini. Jake and I chose to do a back and leg massage not the full body one since their style of massages were a little different from what we do in the United States.
This little tweety bird decided to fly in and join us for breakfast the last day of our stay in Kabini. He’s looking to see if we’ll give him any extra crumbs.

The “Travel and Vacation” series is an insight into our trips together as a family and ways we relax. Life is short and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to build memories with family and explore of of the most amazing places during our time away. Explore with a good attitude, look for fun, and it will be an awesome trip jammed packed with positive memories. It is refreshing having some time away from the regular routine. Make it a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet new people and learn. You just might see or try something new that takes your breath away!
