Counting My Blessings: Week In Review
It was a busy week packed full of work, summer camp, and more fun activities. We were able to get a lot done around the house too. Thankful for my family and the many blessings I have been giving every day.
I want to be accountable to you so the following are snip-its of some of the things I am thankful for this past week.
Counting My Blessings – Week In Review:
Monday –Thankful for that I was able to get Jake’s haircut done today. We’ve been trying to get it done for over a week now, but finally found a good time to get it done.
Tuesday – Thankful for a great chiropractor who helps keep our family in line.
Wednesday – Thankful for the girls hard work as they finished up their Summer Reading Programs from the library.
Thursday – Thankful for a family that pitches in to help when there is items that need to be done around the house and yard.
Friday – Thankful for the girls having an opportunity to go to Roper Mountain Science Camp this week. They learned a lot and had a terrific week!
Saturday – Thankful for technology and the way we can stay connected with family, friends, and others even if there is a lot of miles in between.
Sunday – Thankful for extra time with my family and a chance to relax, have fun, and make memories.
What are you thankful for today? I encourage you to take the time to write down a few blessings that you have in your life today. It will help cheer you up and turn your focus on the amazing blessings you encounter each day.
Intentional Living: Weekly Goals
Last week was an incredibly busy week with everything going on, but we made positive progress in the right direction for some of the items on my list. There were a lot of activities and later nights. I am thankful for that the grading part of the school year is done now for all the year end parties, activities, graduations, and other excitement over the next week and half.
I have had a lot of big projects going and have been keeping track of the progress personally, however, I have not been faithful in updating my blog like I used to do. I think it is important to share and encourage each other as we seek to improve our lives and the lives of those around us. I want to live intentionally not just hope all my dreams and goals come true. When I focus on small steps of improvement I am able to see results as I get closer to my goals. Some weeks I get closer to the goals I have in my life and other weeks a take a few steps back (life happens, emergencies occur, people get sick). Once the goals are written down and shared it provides a guideline for what I aim to accomplish this week.
Why Share My Goals?
- To keep me accountable
- To share a piece of my life with you as I strive to be a better Child of God, Wife, Mom, Friend, Homemaker, Entrepreneur and the many other roles I have each week
- To have my goals consistently written down so I can gauge progress more accurately
- Create healthy habits in my life
- To encourage you to share your goals with me as you continue to grown and learn
How did you do this week on your goals? Feel free to share or link to your list of weekly goals.

Intentional Living: Weekly Goals
Last week Jake’s sister family spent the week with us. The week went by quickly and we packed in a lot of activities during their stay. It was fun spending some extra time and catching up with them as well as the rest of the family in the area the last few days. On Friday the girls went to church camp for the weekend. The house was really quiet after everyone left! We celebrated Father’s Day last weekend since the girls were away at camp for a good part of Father’s Day. Jake was super sweet and helped get our large pile of laundry started while the girls were away. He also made the most amazing apricot and salmon recipe that I will be sharing in a few days. - Pay Bills & File Paperwork
- Go grocery shopping one time to one store this week and stay within budget

Intentional Living: Weekly Goals
Happy June 1st! This year is flying by so quickly still cannot believe we’ve hit June already! This is the girls last week of school! WooHoo! I always love it when they are on summer break. It is a great time to spend together doing a lot of fun things that we don’t always have time to do doing the school year like summer reading, swimming, hiking, biking, traveling, hanging out with family and friends, and so much more. We are looking forward to a lot of fun over the summer and making some treasured memories. Jake had to travel some last week for work, but thankful he is back home this week! There is a lot I want to get done this week before the kids are out of school, hopefully I will be able to accomplish most of it! Here are my goals for this week:

Thankful for a long weekend with my family. The girls and Jake both had the Monday off and we stayed home this weekend to get some projects done. The big project for our weekend was cleaning and re-staining our deck. The girls were a big help cleaning out the bins, making meals, and more. Last week was the girls last full week of school, next week they only have 4 days and the following week they have a couple half days. The kids and the teachers are both ready to be done with school. Intentional Living: Weekly Goals
Last week was a whirlwind of activity. The girls now only have three more weeks of school. I am looking forward to spending some extra time with them this summer. We are getting closer to finalizing our summer plans. It will be fun to catch up with family and friends over the summer break. I had great intentions last week, but somehow little things took priority over some of the items on my list. Part of the problem is that we haven’t had a full weekend at home to get stuff done in several weeks. I love this time of year with all the celebrations and fun activities, but it does effect productivity. Hoping that I will get some of these ones tackled soon before our upcoming 3 day Memorial Holiday Weekend! Here are my goals for this week:

Intentional Living: Weekly Goals
We made it through last week. Jake had some work travel. We had people coming and doing to get the new HVAC unit installed. My week was altered and adjusted as needed so I could be home whenever they needed to get access to the house to do their work. Thankfully we were able to get the HVAC completely installed by Saturday and it appears to be working well. It will be nice to have cool air once the heat hits. This week is a little closer to normal, however, I have a lot of appointments due to last week being a little more flexible. The girls will still be busy with homework and some more State testing, but I am hoping that it will not be as intense this week. If all goes well I hope to get a lot accomplished this week.
