Song: “Here I am to Worship” by Michael W. Smith
I am thankful for the opportunity to go to church and worship with other believers. Take time today to look around you and worship life, creation, nature, or whatever makes you appreciate your Creator. He brings blessings into our lives in many sizes and shapes!
Song: “Your Hands” by JJ Heller
The artist has a beautiful voice and this song is peaceful. I am thankful that even “when my world is shaking heaven stands…..and I never leave your hands”. There are seasons in my life with unanswered prayers for our family, for friends and extended family. My heart goes out to those who have gone through a rough season recently but I am confident that the Father is holding us in his hands and knows the exact plans he has for our lives.
Song: “The Motions” by Matthew West
When life gets busy it is easy to just go through the “motions”. Yesterday our Pastor discussed the topic of prayer and how we need to look at prayer differently. So many of us just go through the “motions” without even thinking about the deeper meaning behind prayer. Having the open channel of communication with our Heavenly Father is not only beneficial it is essential. It puts a whole new meaning on pray without ceasing! What “motions” are you just going through today? Take a few moments to quiet your heart and mind so you can focus on what’s important.
Song: “How Can I Keep from Singing” by Chris Tomlin
After a relaxing weekend with my family I came across this song. The song was a reminder to me that when I have the love of the Christ in my life I will want to sing praises for all he has done. I have so much to be thankful for in my life. God chooses to bestow many blessings on me even though I am undeserving of his grace.
How can I keep from singing Your praise?
How can I ever say enough,
How amazing is Your love?
How can I keep from shouting Your name?
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to singWhen is the last time you sang praises to Him?
Song: “Praise You in the Storm” by Casting Crowns
This song got my attention after a recent event with dear friends who lost a little one. I rarely know the answers to the “storm” that is going on in my life or in the lives of others, but I have the confidence in knowing that God is in control of every situation. My prayer for each one reading this is that you have family and friends to rally around you and pray with you during your storms. The storm passes much more gently when you have hope in something greater. We may never understand the reason behind the storm until much later.
Song: “One True God” by Mark Harris
I often get caught up on the “details” of life…..it is great to be reminded of the One True God. He created all that is in the earth, including me. I am thankful that everything is left up to the one who can handle all the details of life.
