Song: “Who Am I?” by Casting Crowns
I like this song, it reminds me that my life has meaning and purpose. What really matters is who I am in Christ. Life goes by quickly. Am I using every day to the best of my ability? Am I bringing honor to Him? When I take a moment to think about the many blessings I have in my life and allow God to use me it opens doors to make a positive impact on the lives of others as well. He can use me, scars and all. I am thankful for a Savior who excepts me for who I am.
Song: “I Love You More Than You Ever Know” by Michael Ruff
I was looking for a good song about “love” when I came across this one. Even though we have the opportunity to celebrate with the one on Valentine’s Day every year it is important to show appreciate and love towards our spouses throughout the year. Yes, some days are easier to express appreciation than others but if you intentionally do something thoughtful for your spouse everyday it will be a blessing not only to them but your marriage and family. Try doing something thoughtful specifically for your spouse every day for a week, month, or more and let me know how it goes for you!
Song: “Without Love” by Stacie Orrico
This song speaks about the love of God from 1st Corinthians. It is great to reminded of the greatest love we were given! Here are a few phrases from the song.
If I speak in the tongues of angels
But have not love
I’m only a resounding noise
If I have the gift of knowledge
And if my faith moves mountains high
But have not love I am nothing
Though I know the One who holds
The stars in the heavens
In the palm of His hand
And if I give all I possess
To the poor and the helpless
I’ll still gain nothing
Without loveSong: “Love of My Life” by Jim Brickman
In celebration of the Valentine Holiday this week I wanted to share a song with about “love”. I am thankful everyday for Jake and the many things that he does for our family. He is an amazing part of my life and I love him so very much. It is hard to believe we have been married almost 12 years and have known each over for over 16 years! 🙂 I am blessed and have much to be thankful for in my life.

As I was listening to this song about “love” and even though there are many examples in the song of not receiving true love I was reminded how fortunate I am that there is someone who will love me no matter what. I am thankful for a God who loves me not only when I succeed but when I fail. He loves me for who I am flaws and all. You my friend are loved too!
Song: “Hold Me Together” by Royal Tailor
I was in the van listening to the radio after dropping the girls off at school when this song started playing. It hit at the perfect time because it was one of those super crazy weeks and I was “grumpy”. Do you ever have those days you just feel like growling at everything? Yup, it was one of those days.
Hearing this song made me think about what was really “holding me together.” Many times I find myself trying to manage my life and schedule in my own strength instead of allowing God to work. Yes, there are days when everything is coming at me in waves but I need to remember that He has plans for me. When I let go of my agenda He has the potential to do something even bigger than I ever dreamed.
Song: “Come, Now is the Time to Worship” by Phillips, Craig, & Dean
How much of my day do I spend in worship? Some days the blessings are easier to see and other days they are more difficult. Worship should be more then just a few minutes on Sunday morning in church. I like the phrase “Come, just as you are, to worship” you don’t have to be perfect to come before his presence and worship. Here is the chorus of the song:
Come, now is the time to worship.
Come, now is the time to give your heart.
Come, just as you are, to worship.
Come, just as you are, before your God.
Come.Song: “Beautiful One” by Jeremy Camp
As women we love the word “beautiful” and long to have that unfailing love. This song talks about the most beautiful One in our lives. “You opened my eyes to your wonders anew” so often daily life becomes about me and not Him the one who created me, His continual work in my heart, and joy of experiencing a life committed to Him. He extends love and mercy to me every day when I stumble. I like the phrase “Captured my heart” because it is when my heart is captured and focused on the real priorities in life He can work through me to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Here are a few lines of this upbeat and encouraging song for you to enjoy:
Wonderful, so wonderful
Is your unfailing love
Your cross has spoken mercy over me
No eye has seen no ear has heard
No heart could fully know
How glorious, how beautiful you are.Beautiful one I love you
Beautiful one I adore
Beautiful one my soul must sing. You opened my eyes to your wonders anew
You captured my heart with this love
Because nothing on Earth is as beautiful as youSong: “Wonderful Merciful Savior” by Selah
A really neat song giving the praise to our Savior. He meets our every need as our Savior, Friend, Counselor, Comforter, and many more. I am thankful that He graciously extends loving kindness and mercy to me even when I don’t deserve it. Here some of the lyrics from the song for you to enjoy:
Wonderful, merciful Savior
Precious Redeemer and Friend
Who would have thought that a Lamb
Could rescue the souls of menCounselor, Comforter, Keeper
Spirit we long to embrace
You offer hope when our hearts have
Hopelessly lost the wayYou are the One that we praise
You are the One we adore
You give the healing and grace
Our hearts always hunger forSong: “Cannot Say Enough” by MercyMe

We have much to be grateful for in our lives and we have these great blessings because of our Savior. How often do we talk to others about his amazing goodness? Do we give Him the glory He deserves? Take some time today to sing His praises and share with others. Here is a small part of the song to help you get started:
What can we say to describe just a glimpse of Your glory
How can our words portray but a thread of your majesty
But still we praise our Savior
In Spirit and in Truth
For we cannot say enough about You
