• Song: Christmas Offering by Casting Crowns

The Christmas Season brings up a lot of memories.  I remember as a little kid my Grandma Willa going through the Christmas story on her flannel bulletin board.  Seeing the star over Bethlehem, the animals, baby Jesus, and the gifts the wise men brought to this precious Child.  May God accept the offering that we give to Him this Christmas Holiday.

Over the skies of Bethlehem appeared a star
While angels sang to lowly shepherds
Three wisemen seeking truth, they traveled from afar
Hoping to find the Child from Heaven falling on their knees
They bow before the humble Prince of peace

We bring an offering of worship to our King
No one on earth deserves the praises that we sing
Jesus, may You receive the honor that You’re due
O Lord, I bring an offering to You

The sun cannot compare to the glory of Your love
There is no shadow in Your presence
No mortal man would dare to stand before Your throne
Before the Holy One of Heaven, it’s only by Your blood
It’s only through Your mercy, Lord I come

  • Song: Peace Has Come by Hillsong

As we enter into this Holiday season let’s be a joy and blessing to those around us.   Sometimes it is easy to get caught up on the Holiday celebrations and we forget the true meaning of Christmas.  I am thankful for my Savior and the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with those around me.

    Behold the star of Bethlehem
The word of God has become flesh
Unto us a child is born
The Savior of this broken world

    Hear the angel voices,
Sing come let us adore Him,
Peace has come, for our King is with us.

    Fully God and fully man
He comes for all with open hands
He rules with love on David’s throne
All praise belongs to Christ alone.

    Hear the angel voices,
Sing come let us adore Him,
Peace has come, for our King is with us.

  • Song: Thankful by Josh Groban

Every day there is hope.  There are reasons to be thankful.  We can do more and be a blessing to those around us.  This Thanksgiving season reach out to someone and be a blessing to them.  How can you make a positive impact on another person’s life today?

Somedays, we forget to look around us,
Somedays, we can’t see the joy that surrounds us,
    So caught up inside ourselves,
We take when we should give,
So for tonight we pray for,
    What we know can be,
And on this day we hope for,
    What we still can’t see,
It’s up to us, to be the change,
And even though we all can still do more,
There’s so much to be thankful for,
    Look beyond ourselves,
    There’s so much sorrow,
It’s way to late to say, I’ll cry tomorrow
Each of us must find our truth,
    It’s so long overdue,
So for tonight we pray for

  • Song: Thank You Lord by Don Moen

There are so many reasons to be thankful today.  The blessings in my life are numerous.  God has richly blessed my life beyond what I deserve.  I am grateful for the multitude of ways His demonstrates His love and care in my life each day.

    I come before You today
And there’s just one thing that I want to say
    Thank You Lord

For all You’ve given to me
For all the blessings I can not see
    Thank You Lord

    With a grateful heart
    With a song of praise
    With an outstretched arm
    I will bless Your name

    Thank You Lord
I just wanna thank You Lord

For all You’ve done in my life
You took my darkness and gave me Your light
    Thank You Lord

You took my sin and my shame
You took my sickness and healed all my pain
    Thank You Lord

  • Flashback Friday: Blue Jean Overalls

Best Friends - Brina and Karlie (9 Months, Nov. 2005)c

    Brina and Karlie

I love these two rolly polly kids!  They were giggling and being silly in their little blue jean farm overalls.  It is hard to believe how quickly the time has gone by these past few years.  The girls always are quick to give a smile.
